WHITEHOUSE, TX (KLTV) - An animal rescue operation and the City of Whitehouse have come to a temporary agreement on how the city's new animal ordinance will affect Wild Rose Rescue Ranch's operation.

The owners of Wild Rose Rescue Ranch filed a lawsuit against the city of Whitehouse earlier this month, claiming the ordinance passed in February by the City of Whitehouse that limits the number of pets per household is unconstitutional.

The temporary injunction filed today in Smith County court gives the rescue operation until August 1st to adopt out animals to acceptable homes, thus reducing the amount of animals on the property. During this time, the city cannot seize any animals on the property on the basis of having too many animals.
