(KTRE) - Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and former Lufkin Panther Dez Bryant is being sued over $246,000 worth of jewelry by a New York-based company, according to ESPNDallas.com. The lawsuit alleges Bryant owes the company payments for the jewelry.

A second lawsuit alleges Bryant has not paid for $293,000 worth of jewelry and $12,350 worth of sporting event tickets he charged before the Cowboys drafted him, according to The Dallas Morning News.

A lawyer said the New York company has been trying for at least six months to get Bryant to pay, according to the Morning News article.

Bryant's attorney, Royce West, told ESPNDallas they are trying to settle the issue.

"The issue is how much is owed and when it's due," West said. "That's the issue. I think we'll solve it quickly."

Bryant made headlines last week after a droopy pants issue at a Dallas mall. Bryant said his pants were not too low, but mall security told one of his friends that his were too low. Bryant said he got in a profanity-laced exchange with the off-duty police officers and the mall banned him from the facility for 90 days.

Since then, apologies have been given from both sides and Bryant is allowed back into the mall, according to ESPNDallas.
