(KLTV) - After outrage from many parents, clothing store Abercrombie & Fitch has raised the target audience age for one of their bikini swimsuits. Originally, "The Ashley" swimsuit was targeted to girls as young as 7. What caused the controversy was the bikini top. It was padded.
Just this afternoon, Abercrombie & Fitch said the swimsuit is best suited for girls 12 and older, and changed their web site accordingly.
Abercrombie & Fitch is known for its racy ads targeted at teens.
Many parents say the swimsuit is too sexy for children. And some experts say the clothing can even be dangerous.
