ARP, TX (KLTV) - She may look sweet, But one East Texas teen takes no prisoners in the weight room.  Arp junior Pamela Williams is still smiling after winning a state championship in the 181 pound powerlifting division.

Williams broke the state record in the dead lift for her weight picking up 445 pounds!

"It's amazing because this time last year I never would have thought I'd accomplished half the things that I have," said Williams.  "I mean, going through first place in every meet I've been in, that's amazing. To know you can do something that most people can't, that's a good feeling."

Williams just started lifting last year and hopes to compete for U.S.A. powerlifting.  Texas A&M is already recruiting Williams to lift for the Aggies.
