Good Afternoon folks!

It's been a crazy day in the newsroom! Here's what we've got for you on KLTV 7 News at 5 & 6:

A Smith County Sheriff's Deputy was shot in the chest late last night in Tyler while serving a warrant. KLTV had the first photographer on the scene and we've continued to be the first to bring you new information on this developing story. Layron Livingston has been on the case all day and will have the latest at 5 & 6.

For the second time in just two days, people have had to barricade themselves while intruders rummaged through their home. This morning, it was a 13-year-old forced to hide from a thief. Jena Johnson has the story.

Another East Texas Deputy is in the hospital, after he was attacked by a stray cow. Morgan Chesky will have more.

March is women's history month, and every year, "Women in Tyler" select a group of ladies to honor that have had a large influence on the community. At 5, Annette Falconer meets a few women who mean business.
