Officers Cleared In Fatal Shooting

Three Tyler policemen have been cleared in the shooting of a suspect at a Tyler apartment building. The grand jury returned a "no bill" in regards to the shooting of Terence Raibon on July 31. The jury found the officers were justified in using deadly force against Raibon, who shot an officer and was apparently ready to fire again. Officers Josh Green, Philip Johnson, and Mike Saxion were all cleared by the grand jury. Toxicology reports on Raibon show he had the drug, PCP in his system at the time of the shooting. Officer Kenneth Gardner, who was shoot during this incident is still at home recovering.
