Landlord charged for stabbing noisy tenant with roasting fork

ELYRIA, OH (WOIO) - A landlord is accused of stabbing one of her tenants because he was being too loud.

The attack happened early Monday morning on Howe Street.

Police tell 19 Action News 42-year-old Wendy Fischer called police around 5AM to complain about the upstairs tenant being too loud.

Officers responded, and asked the neighbor to keep it down.

Around 6AM, Fischer apparently went to the upstairs apartment with a 40-inch roasting fork and stabbed the neighbor once in the chest.

The victim - 27-year-old Jonathan Warner - managed to wrestle the weapon away from Fischer and call police. 

Fischer is charged with assault.
