CPS takes custody of boys living in filthy home

TROUP, TX (KLTV) - The two young boys that were removed from a filthy mobile home near Troup have been taken into state custody.

According to CPS, both boys were taken into custody on Friday, March 18. They are now in foster care.

The boys, ages 9 and 10 were living in filthy conditions that authorities say had been building up from years. Investigators say they gave the children's adoptive parents, the Mcdougals, plenty of chances.

Authorities say the evidence against the McDougals will be handed over to a grand jury that will decide if the parents will be indicted on child endangerment charges.
