One East Texas restaurant fell short with inspectors

One East Texas restaurant had a tough time when the health inspector came calling.

At Bernard's Mediterranean Restaurant at 212 Grande Boulevard in Tyler, employees were seen breaking hand-washing rules.

Inspectors also noted the soda gun at the bar had a moldy build-up.

Raw shrimp was also stored above asparagus. and raw fish was being kept over peppers.

In all, they had 15 demerits.
