PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - A Pascagoula man was arrested Wednesday after police say he threatened to blow up the Hancock Bank on Market Street.

Police were called to the bank around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon. When they arrived, bank officials told them David Harold Hudson Sr., 61, had been at the branch earlier and was asked to leave after he started harassing customers.

Investigators said Hudson told the bank manager he had a bomb and was going to blow the place up. Hudson then allegedly placed a white garbage bag containing several Mason jars in the lobby by the rear door of the bank.

Lieutenant Davy Davis told WLOX News the jars were filled with a variety of food items, and that one appears to be gumbo.

Police said the bank manager told them that Hudson lives nearby, visits the bank frequently, and has a reputation for harassing customers and bank employees.

Hudson was arrested at his apartment on Market Street, and is now awaiting an initial appearance at the Pascagoula Police Department.
