LONGVIEW (KLTV) - A two-year search for a Massachusetts woman ended Tuesday in Longview with her arrest on parental kidnapping charges.

Michele Ethel Hale, 42, of Brockton, Mass., was arrested at an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Toler Road, records show. She was transported back to Massachusetts on Wednesday.

Her son, who was found with her, was unharmed and reunited with his father, Barry Walker, in a Gregg County courtroom, officials said.

U.S. marshals told the Quincy, Mass., Patriot Ledger that Hale abducted her son twice over the past decade, first taking him when he was 9 and later returning him to Brockton, Mass., in 2006. It led to a custody battle in which Walker won sole custody in January 2009, prompting Hale to flee again with the boy, the marshals said.
