The S.A.T. scores are in and those in TISD remained above the state average. In the verbal category, students had a composite score of 500 as compared to 493 statewide. In math, the score was 506 with the state composite at 500. However, Tyler students performed just slightly below the national average. The director of Assessment and Auxiliary services says they are pleased, but not satisfied. He says the goal is to have every student take the exam and to continue to work to exceed the national average.
