CALIFORNIA (CNN) - It sounds like an action scene from a movie, but a California woman actually rode on the hood of a mini-van at high speeds late Friday, traveling more than 30 miles before she escaped from her husband.
The Manteca woman, who doesn't want to be identified, says she was attempting to stop her husband from driving because he had just come off a serious drug episode.
"I was holding on literally by the tips of my fingers and basically by my ankle. Now I know it was the stupidest thing in my life that I've ever done. But I jumped on the hood of the van. He backed out quickly and when he did that it turned me and I got stuck". the woman said.
The woman says her husband turns into a complete monster when he's on meth, but is otherwise a good, decent human being.
Christopher Carroll was booked for attempted murder.
His wife was treated for scrapes, cuts and hypothermia.
She says she wanted to share her story to let people know not to use meth.
