TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A Tyler dentist accused of illegally filming female tenants has agreed to a plea deal on one of the charges against him.

Dr. Charles Robinson has agreed to a plea deal to serve a 10 year prison sentence for burglary of a habitation.

According to Smith County prosecutor, Tonda Curry, multiple charges are still pending against Robinson including the Improper Visual Recording charge.

It is likely the other charges will be dropped because in order to proceed with them the recordings would have to be released and made public record. According to Tonda Curry, the victims in the case do not want to be 're-victimized' by the public viewing of these recordings.

Curry said that the mother and daughter that he illegally filmed, received a substantial amount of money in a civil suite against Robinson. The same week that Robinson was originally arrested, Curry says, he surrendered his license to practice dentistry.

Robinson is being transferred to Texas Department of Corrections. According to Curry, how long he will serve is up to TDC. However, she expects it to be a significant amount of his time due to the nature of his offence.
