Rangers Shut down White Sox

    The Rangers have been on fire during the month of August. Texas kept it going with a 5-0 shutout of the White Sox.

  In the top of the 3rd Hank Blalock hit his 23rd homer of the year to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead. In the 8th Mark Teixeira hit a 3 run triple driving home Young, Rodriguez, and Palmerio. Ranger pitcher John Thompson pitched the 4 hit shutout. The righthander is 8-1 in his last 11 starts.

  The Rangers are now 16-7 during the month of August.
