Governor Perry Threatens Third Special Session

Governor Rick Perry says he will call a third special session on congressional redistricting if a group of Democratic Senators do not return to the capitol.

Eleven Senate Democrats fled to New Mexico last month to prevent a quorum in the Texas Senate. They have now asked a federal judge to determine if they could be arrested for breaking that quorum.

In Tyler on Wednesday, Governor Perry says being elected to office doesn't mean you'll win every vote. "I will call special session until the work of the people of the State of Texas is done. As of yet, is not completed," said Perry.

The second special session on redistricting ends next Tuesday.
