Mineola man sentenced for robbing Sonic

WOOD COUNTY, TX (KLTV) – A Mineola man is sentenced to ten years in prison, plus repaying the costs of the court, for aggravated robbery.

On June 16, 2010, during the course of committing theft of property at the Sonic in Mineola, Pete Saucedo Ybarra, 21, a former Sonic employee, exhibited a knife to a co-worker and left the Sonic with a money bag.

The Mineola Police Department arrested Ybarra the following day.

Ybarra was sentenced to 10 years in the prison, plus costs of court.

Ybarra was also sentenced to two years in prison for revoking probation. On two other separate charges, Ybarra was sentenced to ten years each, for engaging in organized criminal activity.
