KILGORE, TX (KLTV) – A month after her daughter was robbed and murdered, and East Texas mother is now lashing out, making an emotional plea for justice.

Last month, 25-year-old Renee Garrett was shot at an adult video store in Kilgore, where she worked.

Police say they still have no leads in finding Renee's killer.

Police say Renee was gunned down in an apparent robbery at the adult video store on Industrial Avenue.

Renee's mother, Patricia, feels mistakes were made by employees at the store that compromised the crime scene, "Right after they took the body, they cleaned everything up."

But, investigators say the crime scene was kept intact, and thoroughly examined.

Fearing something like this may happen, Patricia begged her daughter to quit the job, "I was worried. I was scared, and I begged her to quit."

Despite help from the Texas Rangers and forensic investigators, there are still no leads on the suspects.

"They keep telling me they don't have anything yet, and they should have had something by now," Patricia says, "I don't know in a store like that, why a young lade would be alone."

And she has a final message for her daughter's killers, "They may be laughing now, thinking they got away with it, and I don't believe they do, I know they're going to be caught."

"They're going to pay, I know they are."

A $10,000 reward is still being offered to anyone who has information leading to an arrest.
