Collision leaves Lindale woman pinned in vehicle

SWAN, TX (KLTV) - Emergency officials responded to the scene of a car wreck on Hwy 69 N and CR 4132 in Swan, on Monday afternoon.

According to reports, the driver of the SUV was headed North on Hwy 69, when, for an unknown reason, drifted into the south-bound lanes, when the vehicle collided with a wrecker hauling a Brookshire's 18-wheeler.

The driver of the vehicle, who is a middle-aged female from Lindale, was pinned inside the SUV. It took rescuers 30-40 minutes to cut her out of the car, meanwhile, the woman drifted in and out of conciousness.

She has been taken to Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler--the extent of her injuries is unknown.

The driver of the wrecker, reportedly, was not injured.

The SUV has been towed from the scene, but motorists should still expect delays in the near future, as crews are still cleaning the scene.
