LINDALE, TX - Look for Lindale fourth-grader Giddeon Storkson and more than likely you will find him with a book in his hands. Giddeon's love of reading has now earned him a chance to meet one of his favorite hockey players.

Giddeon is the third-fifth grade winner for the Stars Stick With Reading program. The Velma Penny Elementary school student competed against almost 1,700 third through fifth-graders from across the Dallas-area to claim first place. Giddeon logged 13,255 minutes, almost 221 hours, of reading during the program.

Giddeon and his family will receive tickets to attend the Dallas Stars game on February 22 at the American Airlines Center. He will be recognized on stage at the game. Giddeon will also have a private meet-and-greet with Stars center Steve Ott and receive a Steve Ott jersey.

Stick With Reading is an eight-week program developed by the Dallas Stars Foundation to encourage children to read during their free time. During the program, students record their reading minutes and are rewarded with varying incentives.
