Lindale ISD Alumni Association to Host Organizational Meeting
Released by Lindale Independent School District:
LINDALE, TX - The Lindale ISD Alumni Association will host an organizational meeting on Tuesday, March 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lindale ISD Administration Building.
The meeting is open to anyone interested in working with the association as a volunteer, class representative or an officer. Interested individuals wanting to learn more about the goals of the association are also welcome to attend.
Carolyn Todd, president of the association, said the meeting will help structure and expand the association's organizing committee for its first year of operation.
"It will be a wonderful opportunity for former students and teachers of all ages to come together to create the Lindale ISD Alumni Association," Todd said. "I look forward to reuniting with fellow classmates and former Eagles and teachers. This will be an exciting year."
Todd was appointed president of the association by the Lindale ISD Education Foundation last month. The foundation established the association which will fall under its umbrella.
The organizing committee will include individuals from a variety of classes, form an executive board and elect officers, implement a system of mailing list collections, develop an alumni newsletter, and plan events for Homecoming and class reunions.
The organizing committee will also select former Eagles who have made great achievements in their careers and community for the first Distinguished Alumni Awards Program.
The association will serve all-classes and all-years. With a $10 subscription fee, the association is open to Lindale High School graduates, former Lindale students and teachers, and alumni spouses. A lifetime subscription fee of $250 is also available. The subscription fee gives alumni access to the association's database of names and newsletters.
