Airman dad's surprise homecoming at kid's Longview school

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - It was one of the most emotional reunions you have ever seen, when an airman surprised his son and daughter at their Longview School and you can see it all on KLTV 7 news at 6.
Darren Thomas, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard, surprised his two children Friday morning when he showed up at their Hudson Pep Elementary morning assembly.
Towards the end of the assembly, students can submit a wish for the 'Wish Fulfillment' part of the assembly.
Both of Thomas's children said they wished the weather would not delay their father's homecoming, Thomas is a DPS Trooper in Longview who is also a 25 year veteran in the air force and has been away from home since July.
His children, Stephen and Morgan-Taylor were absolutely stunned and overcome with emotion when their father came out from behind a curtain, as you can see from the photos.
