PALESTINE, TX (KLTV) – Cards, flowers, candy—it's all just sneaking up around the corner on Valentine's Day. One spa on Crockett Road in Palestine found a way to give an old gift a unique twist.
From manicures, pedicures, massages, hair treatments, and more, massage and skin care therapist, Jamie Pettiette Rohne, created a healthy way to receive chocolate for Valentine's Day.
"It puts vitamins in your skin, and it helps with weight loss and cellulite. It's good for you all around," says Jamie.
Being the only East Texan to perform Oshey Austo, a massage performed by the feet, using chocolate makes her even more unique.
"You just come and do a whole day of nothing but chocolate-filled services, so when you leave your just like, umm, you smell good, you look good, your skin is soft, I mean you just feel rejuvenated. It's amazing," she says.
In a roundabout way, this chocolate spa day is for men, too.
"I like to be spoiled, and I love the chocolate scent, and even my son says when I get done, "Momma, you smell good," so I know my husband likes it," said customer Veronica Gilbert.
But really, men can feast in the chocolate day, too.
"Do you think this could be used for men, too," I asked.
"Oh absolutely, I don't know a woman who doesn't like the smell of chocolate," Veronica says.
For your one true love, I give it a thumbs-up for your Valentine's Day.
The chocolate treatments will last throughout the month of February. The packages range from $99-$400.
