Grand opening of Army Recruiting Station in Tyler

Released by U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion:

TYLER, TX -  The U.S. Army Career Recruiting Center celebrates their grand opening in Tyler, showcasing the new state-of-the-art facility where Army careers can be explored at the click of a mouse and recruiters of different military occupations can talk about being an Army Strong Soldier.

The station features computers that describe Army jobs and offer recorded interviews with Soldiers describing what they do in those jobs. For individuals who chose to enter the Army, computerized training aids help young men and women transition from citizen to Soldier in subjects ranging from marching and moving in formation to identifying military equipment and how to take care of it.

Tyler Recruiting Company Commander Captain David Butler will be joined for the event by battalion commander Michael Bottiglieri and Command Sgt. Maj. John Kessler. Tyler Company encompasses the communities surrounding Tyler including Longview, Marshall, Nacogdoches, Kilgore, Jacksonville and Athens.

The ribbon cutting will take place for the Tyler Army Recruiting station at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend and light refreshments will be served following the ribbon cutting ceremonies.
