Winter fatigue: Are you sick of winter weather?

By Jamey Boyum - email

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - It's on the way. Time for the wrapping and the dripping and the scraping and the slipping. Just when you thought it was safe to leave home without a jacket, you find out you better get back out the one that's hard to move in.

We asked: Does it make you sick of it?

It seems like just a month ago we were faced with snow and ice,and actually it was just a month ago. But, then things warmed up and everyone thought we were done with it. That's usually how it happens around here.

Well, according to these guys, it's not over yet.

"It's coming again," I pointed out to Lea Ann Barron.

"Oh, this is true, and it's going to last too long for me, I can tell you," she said, "Because after this weekend, it's been tough to take."

"Are you stocking up again?" I asked.

"Yes," she replied.

"Are you getting sick of it?" I asked Benjamin Colbert.

"Yes I am. I a summertime type man, anyway," he replied.

Stacy Watts said, "I'm a hot weather kind of person. I don't like to be cold."

Temple Holt said, "I hate it but we can't do anything about it. Although my dad used to tell me, 'We need the cold weather, boy, to kill the bugs.' I used to tell my dad, 'Don't you know, daddy, if it gets cold those bugs will just dig deeper.' He didn't like that."

Katelyn Newman has a theory about why it's happening again.

"It's all up to the groundhog. Which, I think is ridiculous, "she said.

"It's a conspiracy, " I joked.

"Yes it is. I don't think we should depend on an animal," Katelyn added.

She thinks it's the critter's fault. I think it's the weather guy.

"Hey, I'm just the messenger, here," said Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto.
