TYLER, TX (KLTV) – The coming cold brings a small, but real chance of more rolling power outages.

ERCOT, the agency in charge of controlling 80% of the state's power grid, announced the power crisis was over on Thursday.

Delivery companies like Oncor are still monitoring the situation.

"We appreciate every customer that was patient with us, and that turned that head down a degree or two because they made a difference. It was literally touch and go… had the generation not been able to get up in a timely manner, we could have had a blackout situation statewide that could have literally taken days to correct," says Charles Hill of Oncor.

Oncor says all weather related outages have been repaired, but know more could be coming soon.

"It's a 24-hour-a-day operation to do what is demanded of you, and that's not easy work. But, it's very fulfilling when the lights come back on," said Hill.

The power crisis hitting Texas was the worst in recent years, categorized as a level three power threat.

The demand for electricity set a new all time record for winter peak demand. ERCOT reported the peak hit from 7 to 8 o'clock Wednesday evening.
