JACKSONVILLE, TX (KLTV) - The oldest person in the world, who, by the way lived in East Texas, has passed away today.  Eunice Sanborn lived to be 115 years old.  According to courthouse records, Sanborn was only 114.  But friends and family say her mother wrote in her diary the year she was born, 1895, making her 115 at the time of her death.

Kristine Bunn, friend of Sanborn's since the 1930's, says Sanborn was full of life and was a very Christian woman.  "She was a joy to everybody that knew her, she was friendly, and loved people, and was always talking about the Lord."

Bunn was with Sanborn last night, the night before she died.  She said Sanborn held up her hands and said, "I see angels."  It was then Bunn knew her time was coming to an end.  "She was ready, she was ready, died in her sleep, in her own house, where she wanted to be."

Bessie Cooper of Georgia, born in 1896, is now the world's oldest living person at 114.
