LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin man pleaded guilty Thursday to having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl, in addition to other felony charges.
Jessie Christopher Fetzer, 18, will face sentencing for sexual assault of a child, unauthorized use and burglary at a later date.
Fetzer was arrested in August in Tarrant County on a separate burglary offense. Officials there then alerted Angelina County authorities that he was in custody and he was transferred to the Angelina County Jail.
A 13-year-old girl, who had run away from home, was with him. The girl gave a statement that she had sexual relations with him ever since their second date several months before, an arrest affidavit stated.
The investigator learned Fetzer was in the Dallas area while investigating a burglary on the 100 block of Tom Taylor Avenue. According to the affidavit, a man said he heard a noise on the night of July 27 and checked on it. Thinking it was his cat, he went back to bed.
The next morning he said he found a window to the back bedroom had been forced open and multiple items were taken from his home, including electronics, cameras, rifles and a shotgun.
The affidavit states the investigating officer learned from a witness that Fetzer broke into the house and had taken the property to the Dallas area. An officer in that area then stated he had recovered property that matched what was stolen in Angelina County.
Fetzer is also charged with taking his mother's car without her permission on July 28. When the car was recovered, the right passenger mirrors was broken and a tire was blown out.
