EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Family and St. Mary's officials tell 14 News that 25-year-old Jessica Wirth passed away Saturday night.

Wirth had been suffering with stomach cancer for about six months.

On Thursday she married her high school sweetheart Daniel Lawrence, who is the father of their 18-month-old child Colton

The two said their vows at a ceremony at st. Mary's in front of about 150 family members and friends.

St. Mary's released this statement saying:

"Jessica was surrounded by friends and family, as well as her nurses, patient care techs and her surgeon, Dr. Roger Shinnerl. We are honored and happy to be able to give her the commitment ceremony on Thursday."
