VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - The East Texas church arsonists have been indicted for their alleged crimes in Van Zandt County.

The Van Zandt County Grand Jury returned indictments Friday against Jason Bourque and Daniel McAllister, for the first degree felony offense of arson.

Both men have been indicted for the intentional burning of Russell United Methodist Church in Wills Point. Only Bourque is indicted for Little Hope Baptist Church in Canton, as there was no evidence linking McAllister to the fire.

"We intend to have these two individuals brought back to Van Zandt County as soon as possible so that they can answer for these crimes.  The people of Van Zandt County and the members of our victimized churches deserve the right to have these men held accountable for their actions," said Van Zandt County District Attorney, Chris Martin.
