TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Lucky, the Miniature Doberman Pinscher missing since before Christmas is now back home, safe and sound.

On Monday, Lucky was hit by vehicles, not once, but several times.

A vet said Lucky suffered severe head trauma, but didn't break any bones.

Lucky's hero, Smith County District Attorney Matt Bingham, says he's happy Lucky made it home.

"The best possible scenario worked out, what we we're hoping for when y'all ran the story, that the owner would see it and come forward. And, Dr. Lancaster was able to verify it that it was his dog and the owner picked it up around 9 o'clock," said Bingham.

An Anonymous client of Dr. Lancaster's paid for Lucky's vet bill.

The owners of Lucky, whose name is actually Milo, say they are very thankful for everyone who cared for him.
