HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - The two men already convicted of burning churches in Smith County are facing new charges.

A Henderson County grand jury handed up several arson counts against Jason Bourque and Daniel McAllister.

Jason Bourque was indicted on three counts of arson; Daniel McAllister on two.

Both men received multiple life sentence for their Smith County charges.

If they're convicted in Henderson County their sentences could be combined or added to their current sentences. That decision would be made by a judge or jury.

"I'm sure that the years that they spend will be adequate justice and judgment for what they've done, said Leon Wallace, Pastor of Faith Church.

Faith Church was one of the first churches to be burned. Investigators say Bourque set the church ablaze on his own.

For fires at Grace Community Church and Lake Athens Baptist Church Bourque and McAllister are accused of working together.

"We're not vindictive; we just think they made a very poor decision, said John Green, Pastor at Lake Athens Baptist Church. "God loves them and we forgive them, but that cannot erase the needed legal procedures."

Exactly one year after their church home was destroyed construction continues for Lake Athens, "We look to the future. We do not understand why but in God's own grace, we will be stronger, said Green.

There's no word, yet on any Henderson County trial dates.
