MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A 48-year-old man was stabbed in the neck with a pocket knife Thursday night, and officers with the Myrtle Beach Police department have arrested his wife in connection.

According to a police report, 28-year-old Miranda Lynn Ledesana, of Myrtle Beach, was placed under arrest and charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.

Around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the Quail Marsh Apartments at 2005 Greens Blvd. in reference to a stabbing.

Officers found the male victim bleeding from the back of his neck.

The victim told police he and Ledesana had gotten into an argument over missing items from their apartment. He stated when he arrived home, he found someone had gone through the apartment and things were missing and he blamed Ledesana.

The victim then claimed Ledesana went outside to a neighbor's for a short time before returning and stabbing him.

Upon further investigation, Ledesana claimed the victim was mad at her because it took her too long to get home. Ledesana told police they began to argue and the victim punched her in the face.

At that time, according to Ledesana, she left to go to a neighbor's home, retrieving a pocket knife.

Ledesana admitted to officers she stabbed the victim.

She then told officers she gave the knife to someone else, who disposed of the weapon. Officers were unable to determine who it was that disposed of the knife.

Ledesana claimed she stabbed the victim in self defense, however, officers could not see any marks or swelling on or around her face.

Further investigation determined Ledesana to be the aggressor.
