Shoppers score with "leftovers"

By Samantha Jordan - email

TYLER, TX(KLTV)-  Leftovers are one of the many things most of us look forward to after Christmas, and this includes those "leftover" sales.

"You know ending the holiday the right way," said Monica London. London says the right way is by taking advantage of after-Christmas sales.

"I'm always looking for a sale always looking to save some money," said London

Shoppers we found were also ready to put gift cards to good use.

"A lot of stuff was on sale I got a coat,  a vest and a jacket from American Eagle," said Lauryn Henry.

"I found some earrings, some boots and I got my granddaughter some tennis," said Bridgette Williams.

According to ShopperTrak consumers spent a nearly $8 billion the day after Christmas. Last year, December 26th was ranked as the second-highest revenue day for retailers.

"I'm just one of the many making my way," said London.

"I came for the sales today and I saved a lot," said Williams.
