ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A month after Albany city commissioners passed that indecency ordinance that outlaws saggy pants, Police have written the first citation.

Tuesday night an officer patrolling Lois Avenue gave 21-year-old Jerrod Lewis a ticket after she noticed he was having a hard time walking because his pants were sagging.

The officer said Lewis's underwear was fully exposed and he had to hold onto his pants to keep them from falling to the ground.

Since he's a first time violator, Lewis faces a $25 fine for sagging. A second offense brings a $200 fine.
