TYLER, TX (KLTV) - With the Dallas Cowboys placing quarterback Tony Romo on the injured reserve list Tuesday, the team has signed Tyler native Teddy Williams to the active roster. Williams has not played a meaningful game of football since high school at John Tyler.
Williams was signed by the Cowboys during training camp after not playing college football. Instead he was a track star at UTSA. The 22 year old was cut by the Cowboys, but signed to the practice squad before the regular season. Now the East Texan is being moved to the 53 man roster. Williams is being moved to receiver. He could see special teams work on Christmas against the Cardinals.
