LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Think your holiday shopping list is long, try wrapping 900 gifts. Thankfully, the Hiway 80 Rescue Mission in Longview had a little holiday help.

Volunteers spent much of the afternoon sorting through boxes and boxes of toys and gifts for hundreds of children in need. The gifts will be given away during the rescue mission's Christmas party, next week.

"It's wonderful for a child to get a Christmas gift," said mission worker Eric Burger. "But if you're going through tough times, you can feel alone and what an honor it is to share his love with people, no matter what their need is, at this time."

The Hiway 80 Mission is still accepting help to wrap those gifts, just contact the mission directly. They're also still in need of gift items for teenage girls and boys.
