TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Snow is in the air at Bergfeld Park this weekend, as the City of Tyler Parks and Recreation department and KLTV host the fifth annual Holiday in the Park. So kiddos, Moms and Dads, put your mittens on and grab a sled, and meet us, along with "Santa Scirto," on the tubing hill.
Along with sledding, Holiday in the Park will feature "Snow Play," an area filled with over 50,000 pounds of snowy fun for the whole family. The "Kids Zone" includes pony rides, a bungee jump, and rock-climbing wall.
The fun begins on December 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. with "Snow Play" and the "Kids Zone" in the park. At 7 p.m., Ballet Tyler takes the stage.
On Saturday, December 11, the Bazaar will run from 10 a.m until 5 p.m. and will feature more than 50 vendors displaying gift items for your family or friends. "Snow Play" and the "Kids Zone" will be run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for kids of all ages.
Local dance groups and choirs will entertain until 5 p.m. The evening wraps up with a showing of "Holiday Inn" in the amphitheater at 6 p.m.
The "Snow Play," movie, and entertainment, are free of charge. Concessions and shopping will be available.
Bergfeld Park is located at Broadway and Fourth Street in Tyler.
