NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches man died after hitting an 18-wheeler while driving to work Tuesday morning.
According to the Department of Public Safety trooper, Figueroa Galvez, 22, died on the scene. He worked for Tyson Foods and actually hit an 18-wheeler, driven by Anderson Polly, of Center, belonging to the same company.
The trooper said Galvez was driving a Chevy Aveo east to work at a high rate of speed, just before 7 a.m., 3.5 miles east of Nacogdoches, when he lost control, went into the westbound lane, and hit Polly's Tyson poultry truck.
Polly was not injured.
