EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Over the month of November, businesses and banks in Titus, Cass, and Camp Counties have been victimized by counterfeiters.
During November, eleven individuals passed counterfeit checks at The First National Bank of Hughes Springs.
Investigators say, the men passed apparent paychecks, written for a well known area business called Farm Catch Catfish.
The checks were in reasonable amounts, but after all was said and done, a total of $4500 was bilked from the bank.
It is estimated between $12,000 to $15,000 has been counterfeited through businesses in three counties.
Investigators believe the men used false identifications that were stolen to pass the checks.
Officials have bank surveillance images of the men and are looking for anyone who may know where the suspects are.
