LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Gregg County Judge Bill Stoudt was given the 'Texas Road Hand Award' for his support of the Texas Department of Transportation.
He has been a guiding force in promoting and achieving transportation goals in the Longview area.
Through his leadership, he has made a lasting impact on local highway improvements, by placing the transportation needs of Gregg County front and center.
One of his biggest contribution to the transportation of E. Texas was paving the way for Gregg County's contribution of nearly 6 million dollars to an under funded safety project on Hwy 149. Making it possible for the project to finally go to letting this year after languishing on the unfunded list of projects for over a decade.
He also provided the leadership and funding of 2 million dollars in Gregg County funds for the State Hwy 42 project; another high priority project for the Longview area.
