NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Nacogdoches Police are investigating a case in which six children, none over the age of 8, were left home alone for at least an hour on Thursday.
According to the report, the youngest child was a year old. Police stayed with the children until two responsible adults, who were not their parents, came to the home on the 400 block of Oakhill Plaza Drive. The children were released to them.
Lt. Paul Peterson said the report was not clear on who the adults were, but that they were likely relatives who were contacted to take care of the children.
Peterson said detectives would likely obtain arrest warrants for one or both of the parents.
