LINDALE, TX (KLTV)- The Lindale community kicked off the holiday season at the third annual Winter Wonderland event. The benefit was hosted by the LIFE'S PACE organization, and all the proceeds will go towards the Lindale Independent School District. The snow hill, bounce house, and live music gave kids an early taste of the holidays. The money will be granted to teachers, with an emphasis on the special needs classrooms.

"We kept adding little things, first it was a breakfast appreciation, then it was lunch, then it snow balled into this. We can generate funds for teachers who are energetic and progressive about education," said Chris Custer, a Winter Wonderland organizer.

Actor Danny Glover  was expected to make an appearance at the event. He is known best for his roles in major feature films but arrived today as an advocate for special needs children.
