EXCLUSIVE: Video tour inside FRESH by Brookshire's

TYLER, TX (KLTV)- It will be the first of it's kind in East Texas. FRESH by Brookshire's is a store that will offer everyday items and specialty items from around the globe. Construction is underway in Tyler, and KLTV video cameras got the first glimpse inside the walls of FRESH.

East Texans can expect a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Wednesday, we tagged along as store leaders toured the framework of FRESH. General manager Steve Delello said the store will focus on specialty items, like rare meats, special cheeses, and local produce. FRESH will offer a variety of prepared or dine-in options by culinary masters. Delello said 40% of products will be natural, organic or gluten-free.

"We want to appeal to folks that are comfortable in the kitchen and putting together their meals, but we also wanted to provide things for people who can pick up things and take them home," Delello said.

The building is designed from top to bottom to be energy efficient. Shoppers will be able to take advantage of multiple entrances and check-out locations, as well as an outdoor grill.

Delello admitted all of these amenities and quality products will come at a price.

"Obviously, when you go for the higher-grades of produce and meat, there is some cost associated with that," Delello said. "[But] we found there are a lot of folks that were literally driving out of our market area for the items that we will now be able to provide here in Tyler."

The store is scheduled to open this February, and it will be open every day from 7am-10pm.

The John Tyler Lions always seem to look sharp in their uniforms. But thanks to East Texas lawyer Keith Miller, the Lions will look better and play safer. Helmets that advertise lowering the impact of hits, and possibly reduce the amount of concussions, come with a hefty price-tag. Miller's donation of 7,500 dollars, will go to help the lions cover that cost. "Keith Miller's been a big sponsor of John Tyler High School football program for years now.  I know it's...More >>

The last time we talked about the Kilgore Bulldogs, quarterback Buddy Jackson and wide receiver Jonathan Shepherd were apart of the 800-meter relay team that won gold at the 2017 state track meet. But today they are back in the pads, and looking to turn their speed into touchdowns.  Competing in District 9-4A, Kilgore has always had a strong run game that helped them become the 2016 District Champs.
