QUITMAN, TX (KLTV) - Controversy is stirring in the Quitman School District over a book being removed from a school library because it contained a curse word.
KLTV attended Monday night's school board meeting, to figure out what had happened.
No one learned much from the Board.
The Trustees met, but emerged from executive session to say they had not made a decision.
What we do know is the Board of Trustees decided to spend more than $150,000 to buy superintendent Dr. Leland R. Moore out of his contract.
The board has not said why Dr. Leland is leaving the district or if this is related to the rumors swirling around a book controversy.
