Kiel Released From Hospital

Former Texas A&M and Lufkin defensive back Terrance Kiel was released today from a Houston Hospital.

Kiel was drafted this spring by the San Diego Chargers and was in route home to Lufkin late Friday afternoon. He stopped at a mall in Houston, and was confronted by a man. The man tried to steal  Kiel's rims off of his 1983 Buick. Kiel was shot 3 times, once in the calf, the knee, and stomach. He was said to be in stable condition late yesterday.

The Chargers feel there is a possiblity that there may be a chance, the rookie could be ready for the start of training camp in two weeks.
