OTTAWA COUNTY, OH (WTOL) – An Ottawa County man accused of killing his father and two family members was arraigned on six counts of aggravated murder Wednesday.
William Liske Jr., 24, is accused of killing his father, William Liske Sr., his stepmother Susan Liske and her son, Derek Griffin on Oct. 31.
The indictment states Liske killed his relatives with a handgun after he robbed them at gunpoint.
If found guilty, Liske could face life in prison with or without parole or be sentenced to death.
Defense attorneys want Liske to be evaluated to see if he is competent to stand trial, which the judge said is set to take place sometime this month.
The judge also issued a new $3 million bond for Liske, one million for each of the person killed.
Also, the judge issued a gag order for the case, which means attorneys cannot comment on the case.
More than a dozen of Liske's family members and friends showed up at the hearing.
