TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Local restaurants will honor war veterans and active military this Veteran's Day, by offering free food and discounts to those who have served their country.
All restaurants will require troops to show proof of their military service.
Ways to identify yourself include bringing a photograph of yourself in your uniform, wearing your uniform, showing your U.S. Uniform Services/Retired Services ID, or veterans' organization card, or providing a current leave and earnings statement (LES) or a DD214.
The list of local restaurants participating are as follows:
Applebee's (Tyler, Longview and Lufkin): free meal.
