Mavericks sign First Round Pick

Today the Mavericks came to terms with thier first round draft pick Josh Howard. Dallas signed the 6-7 forward to a three year deal worth 2.1 million dollars.

Howard was the Mavericks 29th pick in this years draft, and was the ACC Player of the Year as a senior at Wake Forest. He averaged 19  points and 8 rebounds per game. He was the first Wake Forest player taken in the first round since San Antonio drafted Tim Duncan first overall in 1997.
