Aero modelers hold annual fun fly

LONGVIEW,TX (KLTV)- World war two fighters, bi-planes, helicopters, and stunt planes all in the air at the same time, it didn't happen at any airport, but at a radio controlled model air show in Longview. It was the annual east Texas aero modelers fall fun fly. From seek designs to a flying lawn mower, dozens of experienced pilots turned out for the annual event. The event draws young and old to see some of the acrobatics pilots can do with remote controlled planes. From 12 foot wing-spans, to barely a foot, to flying lawnmowers.

"Everybody since the wright brothers has been fascinated with aircraft, and this gives you a chance to come out and get up close and personal because these aircraft fly just like the real ones do," says model pilot Charles Warren.

The east Texas aero-modelers club holds the fun fly event every fall and spring.
